Greg grew up in Corner Brook and Mount Pearl. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy in 1998, and earned the University Medal for being the top student in his field. He then went to Montreal and completed a Master of Arts degree in English Literature at McGill University. He taught for two years at Memorial University in St. John's, and then taught for another two years in Corner Brook at the Grenfell College campus. Teaching was very rewarding, but Greg found himself wanting something more exciting.
In 2006, Greg became a Realtor, and had a very strong first year. He was asked to help train other new agents, and teaching—as well as furthering his own sales education—became an important part of his real estate career. Greg has been coached one-on-one by Mike Ferry, Matthew Ferry, and David Yetman as well, he has been a regular participant in a variety of courses and seminars. He is currently designated an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) and an International Real Estate Specialist (IRES). Greg is working on his Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) program.
Greg is heavily involved with charity work. He is a member of the Rotary Club of St. John's Northwest. He served as a member on the club's auction committee (raising $244,000 in 2012 and $264,000 in 2013). He is also a member of the Re/Max Realtors Care committee, which raised $35,000 for the Run for the Cure in 2012. Greg is also involved with fundraising for the Janeway Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network.
Greg is happily married to Master Printmaker Lori Doody. They have two beautiful children, a boy and a girl, and an old black lab that's now more grey than black. If you would like to buy or sell property, Greg would be happy to serve you. He believes in the Golden Rule of real estate: “do unto others as you would have done unto you.” When you're a client, you're family.
